The Wind Energy Research Association (FVWE), comprising the partners DLR, ForWind – Zentrum für Windenergieforschung (Wind Energy Research Centre) and the Fraunhofer IWES, sets itself exactly these challenges. The research association provides the wind energy industry globally unique innovation potentials through bundling its proved expertise and outstanding research infrastructures. The FVWE is the ideal technology development partner for both manufacturers and operators alike from conception to product launch, from design, using the virtual methods of, for example, experimental testing and model validation, right up to production automation.
Furthermore, the FVWE has over 600 researchers who can deal competently and in depth with all the systematic issues of this fast-growing global energy supply pillar.
