  • Basically, there are two possible types of application:

    1. You can apply directly for a specific vacancy.

    2. You can send us a speculative application. If you choose to send a speculative application, please remember to include the specific field of activity that is of interest to you in your application.

  • Whether applying for a specific vacancy or sending a speculative application, please include the following documents so that we can get a good overall idea of who you are as well as what qualifications and experience you bring with you.

    • letter of motivation
    • complete curriculum vitae
    • certificates (final certificates, current overview of grades, certificate of qualification for university matriculation)
    • references and letters of recommendation
    • if applicable, list of academic publications

  • Your personal letter of motivation tells us why you are interested in a position in our institute and what skills you bring with you. When composing your letter of motivation, it is important to show how your qualifications and skills are relevant to the specific job vacancy or the field in which you would be interested in working. You should explain clearly and concisely what motivates you and why Fraunhofer IWES is the right employer for you.

  • Please only submit applications via the »Apply now« button on the respective vacancy page. We are not able to accept applications by e-mail or mail, thus any such applications received cannot be considered.

    Speculative applications can also be submitted directly via our vacancy portal. Special options are listed alongside our current vacancies.

  • The application deadline is specified in the respective vacancy listing. If no date is specified, you can apply at any time as long as the vacancy is still online. Speculative applications may be submitted at any time.

  • Once the application deadline has passed and your application has been processed, you will be contacted by the respective institute department. If your application has sparked our interest, the next step involves conversations and interviews for us to get to know you as well as possible and offer you a comprehensive insight into the work here at our institute.
