Energy Transition & Management Program for Public Sector Strategists | Course

The training program "Energy Transition & Management for Public Sector Strategists" provides in-depth knowledge, case studies, and excursions addressing the following topics:

  • Energy Sources and Technologies

  • Infrastructure and Integration
  • Business Models
  • Planning and Management
  • Governance and Policy
  • Energy Efficiency
  • Future Outlook

 

Overall objectives of the program:

  • Equip public sector strategists with in-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies and policies.
  • Enhance skills in project management and financial planning specific to renewable energy initiatives.
  • Foster leadership capabilities to drive the energy transition within government entities.
  • Provide practical, hands-on experience through workshops, case studies, and site visits.
  • Enable participants to develop and present a capstone project focused on creating an energy transition strategy for a specific government entity.

 

The training program includes

  • 12 weeks of full-time classroom training at different Fraunhofer Institutes in Germany, incl. Freiburg, Oberhausen and Bremen,
  • 4 follow-up online sessions after the in-person phase to offer individualized mentoring and support during the completion of the capstone project,
  • work on an individual capstone project for the whole time of the training,
  • supervision of the capstone project every Friday morning throughout the entire training period.
